Good morning, everyone. I am Albert Crothmeyer, Private Secretary to His Majesty. This morning I would like to give you a quick update on recent events here in the capitol.
At approximately 9:40 this morning, Code Orange alarms in the Royal Palace of Romero were set off. Code Orange indicates that air filtration systems detected a dangerous gas or substance. The Palace was evacuated, and the Royal Family has been moved to Eddis.
Department of Security and Civil Protection Services Officials entered the Palace in Biohazard Suits at around 11:00. We have not yet determined what exactly was released into the Palace, but I have been assured that there is no danger at this point and we are being told that the Palace may be fully operational within a week.
As far as we know, only a few small rooms of the Palace were contaminated. These were empty Private Apartments, being redecorated. This area is being sprayed with a biocide as I speak. I am confident that no one has been infected with any sort of disease and that the contamination did not leave the apartments, although the entire Palace is being checked.
