Collins Place Palace Romero, Tellia From the Desk of HRM Christopher I
Good evening. It has recently come to my attention that the nation of Kosovo has declared independence from Serbia. The micronation of Tellia is here to say that we support them in this.
This declaration of independence reminds me of that micronational spirit that so many in this hobby hold and I am glad to see that spirit working on a larger scale. Stories of new Kosovar Citizens waving both their new flag and American Flags in the streets have warmed my heart.
I would like to officially issue Recognition to this, the newest of nations. Although we are on different scales and secede for different reasons and with different goals, in some ways, we are similar.
I urge the United Nations Security Council, including Russia, to consider allowing Kosovo to join the United Nations. See reason in this matter.
I urge the International Community to grant recognition to this new nation also. Put aside the past and realize the fact that their independence is inevitable. The people want it and thus they should have it. The people who have made this declaration are democratically elected and thus, they represent the peoples wishes.
Regardless of this being a joyous occasion, Tellian Citizens are warned to stay away from the area until everything is quite obviously safe.
In closing: Good Luck Kosovo. You will need it in this world.
